With our recent renovation of all 189 rooms, we decided it was time for our mini-bar to also receive its own upgrade. As Sydney’s premier lifestyle hotel and loving all things Australian; we are proud to have collaborated with Australian founded companies who are using their brands to make an impact on our planet, to create our mini-room experience so our guests can enjoy a taste of Australia while staying at Pier One Sydney Harbour.
Who is Elijah – Sydney
Our new bathroom amenities from Who is Elijah are built on cruelty free, genderless foundations. They start with the source, the ingredients of all the fragrances, the oil and aroma is a hybrid blend of natural and synthetic materials (the good kind). Proudly cruelty free, vegan and when available, Who is Elijah source ingredients that are locally Australian made.
Ettitude – Melbourne
Our mini-bar features your own Pier One X Ettitude sleeping eye mask, allowing you to sleep at ease. Ettitude’s CleanBamboo™ is a game changer. Crafted with lyocell made from 100% organic bamboo, this comfy and eco-friendly fabric is full of natural benefits. It’s softer, more cooling and cleaner than cotton, while needing less water to grow and produce. Ettitude is a proud member of the 1% For The Planet global network. Donating 1% of the revenue from their organic bamboo lyocell bedding products to support environmental non-profit organizations.
TigerBuck – Melbourne
Another addition to our mini-bar, Tiger Buck Beef Jerky uses only quality Australian Beef that’s never been frozen. There’s no filler, no MSG, no artificial anything. It’s simply sliced raw, soaked in their signature marinade, and then air-dried to perfection. It’s also low in fat, a great source of protein, and is even gluten free. The Tiger Buck packaging is made from responsibly forested card-stock, and it’s been printed using vegetable-based inks that are less harmful to our environment.
HeyTiger – Melbourne
For those craving a sweet hit, our new mini-bar chocolates from Hey Tiger are owned by a charitable trust and is partnered with The Hunger Project to fund their work with cocoa farming communities in Ghana, West Africa. Their CEO, Cyan Ta’eed, does not take a salary and the company donates a minimum of 50c per full size bar and 25c per mini bar to The Hunger Project Ghana to fund their incredible work and support cocoa farming communities and an end to child labour.
