ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:
Fraser Corfield, Australian Theatre for Young People, Artistic Director & CEO
Fraser Corfield is the Artistic Director and CEO of Australian Theatre for Young People, which has been bridging the divide between young people and professional theatre practice since 1963. He is committed to generating or supporting performance programs that reflect the diversity of Australian identity and experiences.
In his 20 years of experience in small-to-medium arts companies, Fraser Corfield has been actively involved in arts management and advocacy and has participated in advisory bodies at all levels of the industry, from national bodies such as the Australia Council of the Arts and Trusts and Foundations to State and local Government.
Fraser is best known for his work taking 'Youth Theatre' onto the national stage. He has developed and staged new work involving young people in partnership with Australia's leading companies and venues. His productions, commissions and programs have received many of Australia's leading industry Awards including AWGIES, Helpmann, Sidney Myer, Sydney Theatre, SA Great and Matilda Awards amongst others. He has directed productions for adult, youth and family audiences in Australia, the UK, Canada, South Africa and Japan. Fraser regularly sits on industry panels and advisory groups for all levels of Government, Foundations, advocacy organisations and peak bodies.
He lives in Sydney with his two children, Eva and Dylan.

Brett Weymark, Artistic Director of Sydney Philharmonia Choirs
Brett Weymark is one of the foremost choral conductors in Australia. Since becoming Artistic Director of Sydney Philharmonia Choirs in 2003, he has conducted the Choirs in performances around Australia and the world. He has led all of the state orchestra’s as well as the Orchestra of the Antipodes, Sydney Youth Orchestra, and the Hong Kong Philharmonic.
Brett trained at the University of Sydney (voice) and the NSW Conservatorium of Music (conducting); he undertook further study in the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States. In 2002, he was awarded a Centenary Medal for his service to music – in particular, choral performance.
Recent conducting highlights have included the world premiere of Paul Stanhope’s Jundamarra with the Sydney Symphony as well as conducting their Tea and Symphony and Mozart in the City series, Handel’s Messiah for New Zealand Symphony, Purcell’s King Arthur for Brisbane Baroque and ANZAC Day concerts for the Queensland Symphony.

Mia Feasey, CEO Siren Design
Mia Feasey founded Siren Design in 2005 as a place for creatives to thrive. Gabrielle Mordy, Studio A, CEO/Artistic Director
Gabrielle is fascinated by the ways individuals and communities use art to express their relationship with the world. She is inspired by the power of art to translate experiences and stories across cultures. Sometimes with grace, sometimes with ferocity but always with a touch of magic.
A passionate advocate for the rights of all people to access the arts, Gabrielle leads the Studio A enterprise and has over ten years’ experience working with artists with disability.
Gabrielle holds a Masters of Fine Arts & a First Class Honours degree in Anthropology. In 2014 Mordy was awarded a Churchill Scholarship and an Australia Council Career Development Award to undertake international research into the supported studio sector. In 2011 she received a Curatorial Mentorship Initiative award from the National Association for the Visual Arts. Gabrielle is also a practicing artist and writer working with a range of media including textiles, printmaking, drawing and sculpture.
